A fact from Five Mile Point Light appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 18 October 2014 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that the original Five Mile Point Lighthouse (1805) was a 30-foot (9m) octagonal wooden tower, its fixed white light from eight oil lamps with 13-inch (330mm) parabolic reflectors?
I've done a little bit of tidying up to the article as I went through it. Please check that you are comfortable with my changes. Otherwise, I only have the following comments:
One matter still requiring attention is a missing word: two-and-one-half story brick ? to replace... is this is the keeper's house? The same issue is present in the Current Tower section.
"...and the grave of British Ensign and Assistant Adjutant Watkins". I assume Watkins was a casualty of the battle? I suggest reordering this bit to follow the guff about the attempted landing? And is there still a headstone for the Watkins grave?
I fixed it up a little, but the grave apparently is to the south, but I have no information on its location or if a marker was ever erected. Sorry, I only get these repeated accounts and nothing more. ChrisGualtieri (talk) 17:17, 2 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The formatting of the citations is a little inconsistent. The book references are missing place of publication and ref 5 is missing page numbers.
Place of publication? The publisher is located in Massachusetts, but is that really necessary? Fixed the the page numbers. ChrisGualtieri (talk) 17:17, 2 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Image tags OK although postcard pic is missing author information. Mind you, I I'm not sure if it is a GA requirement.
There is no authorial credit and I didn't upload it, but these postcards were just that... post cards. ChrisGualtieri (talk) 17:17, 2 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'll check back in a week or so but ping me if you get to it sooner. Cheers. Zawed (talk) 08:56, 25 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't get noticed. Thanks, going to work on this now. ChrisGualtieri (talk) 14:41, 2 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Did a bunch of fixes. How's it look? ChrisGualtieri (talk) 17:17, 2 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
There was a missing isbn, which I have added. Otherwise your changes/comments are fine. Passing as GA. Zawed (talk) 02:06, 7 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
