Andrew David Gold (born 21 March 1989) is a British TV journalist, author, and YouTuber. Gold has more than 425,000 subscribers across two YouTube channels, Heretics and Andrew Gold. He speaks five languages and holds an NCTJ journalism qualification.[1] He interviews guests about cults, ideologies and polemic cultural issues.[2][3]

In 2018, Gold produced and presented the BBC documentary Exorcism: The Battle for Young Minds.[4] The film was placed on BBC 3’s Best of 2018 list.[5] Pan Macmillan published his 2024 book The Psychology of Secrets: My Adventures with Murderers, Cults and Influencers.[6][7]

In June 2020 Andrew launched his podcast, initially known as On the Edge with Andrew Gold and later changed to Heretics. Its guests have included Robbie Williams, Richard Dawkins, Amanda Knox and David Baddiel. He has appeared as a guest on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Triggernometry, GB News, Chris Williamson's Modern Wisdom and the Jordan Harbinger Show.[8][9] He has written for a number of publications, including Unherd, BBC and Vice.[10][11][12] He describes himself as an 'atheist Jew'.[13]

When interviewed by journalist Helen Lewis for The Atlantic, Gold criticized YouTube's demonetization policy.[14]
