Overview[edit]
Calamvale Community College is a co-educational, independent state school established in 2002 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
Structure[edit]
The college is organised into two sub-schools each with its own principal and staff. The College Principal provides the over–arching leadership for the college. Each sub-school caters for a select range of grades; the junior campus caters for prep to year 6, and the secondary campus caters for years 7 to 12.
Campus[edit]
The college operates on a two sub-campus system, coinciding with the two sub-schools. The two campuses are situated adjacent to one another; with the junior campus encompassing the southern end of the main campus, while the secondary campus embodies the north.
Each sub-campus offers a variety of amenities, including both shared resources and those specific to either sub-school. Examples of shared facilities include: The Oval, Library, Basketball courts, and a hall. Both campuses possess Tuck shops (also known as canteens) as well as two large undercover areas.

The College opened in 2002 with 1150 students ranging from preschool to Year 8. In 2003, Year 9 was added and the enrolment was 1540. In 2006, Calamvale Community College became preschool to Year 12 with an estimated final enrolment of around 2200. The school campus has existed from a time much earlier than 2002, having been originally founded in 1957, under the alias of Calamvale Primary School, later changed to Calamvale State School then Calamvale State College, closing down for renovation and after sexual assault allegations, then creating a new school and renovating the Campus, Founding Calamvale Community College.
